Banning Glocks?

Georgia Concealed CarryThis is absolute stupidity in it’s purest form.

There’s no way to possibly comment on this forum post we read today in a positive way so we’ll just come right out and tell it how it is… he’s an idiot.  Tied up in the emotion of it all, this writer joins in with the far-too-many that allow emotion to overwhelm their senses and he lashes out on guns.  It’s also obvious that he’s truly falling for what the media wants everyone to believe.. that anyone carrying a gun is a potential psycho about to come loose and start shooting.

Without further ado..

Thats the header of this letter to the editor in the local paper in Sioux Falls S.D population 150,000 [Glocks should be banned in the U.S.]. I have a few issues with it as well all of you I imagine!

Here are some facts:

•90 guns for every 100 people.
•10,000 gun murders per year.
•20,000 gun deaths from suicide and accidents per year.

And yet no action in Congress! The fact that Loughner had access to a gun (A Glock 19 with a magazine loaded with killer shells) that led him to kill six people and wound 14 should lead us to wonder — why is such a weapon allowed on the market? This is the same model gun that Seung-Hue Chu used to kill 32 people at Virginia Tech. A gun that can shoot 33 bullets without reloading is a weapon of mass destruction and should be banned.

On a visit to my granddaughter in Tempe, Ariz., I was uneasy and felt unwelcome at a roadside restaurant because customers were sporting guns on their hips (Arizona allows anyone to carry a gun in public). I wondered if one of them might see me as “the enemy.” After all, one never knows who might be “over the edge”!

Glocks, reportedly, have increased in sales since the shooting. Boys (and girls), this is the real world. Six people are dead, including a child and another 14 wounded. It is time to ban the Glock 19 altogether.

You can do something. There is a bill, proposed by Carolyn Maloney, which would ban the sale of large ammunition clips like the one used by Loughner. Ask your congressman to support banning these killer weapons. Don’t wait for another shooting

Believe it or not.. I have some favorite parts to his letter.

“A Glock 19 with a magazine loaded with killer shells”

Hmm, he’s referring to an incident where 6 died and 14 wounded.. does this mean the criminal had 6 killer shells and 14 wounding shells in his gun?

“A gun that can shoot 33 bullets without reloading is a weapon of mass destruction”

He must be very confused as I’m quite confident we didn’t into Desert Storm under the assumption that Saddam Hussein might be building Glocks with 33 round magazines.

“I wondered if one of them might see me as “the enemy.” After all, one never knows who might be “over the edge”!”

Referring to being in a roadside restaurant in TX where people were openly carrying.  He’s kidding right?  He’s probably reading newspaper articles on a daily basis where someone see’s they were charged for a large soda instead of a medium and decides to shoot everyone in the restaurant.  Oh wait he doesn’t… because that never happens!

“It is time to ban the Glock 19 altogether”

… because Glock 19s are the only firearm out there capable of such evil, it has nothing to do with the insane person behind the gun.

“ban the sale of large ammunition clips”

Why oh why do they call them “clips”?
