Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia

There has been a lot of debate among many forums whether the Georgia Aquarium is a Gun Free Zone or not.  Last time I was there (November 2012) they were using wands and physically checking bags, backpacks and purses.  The consensus among most forums is that the Georgia Aquarium is a Gun Free Zone.

People who were caught with knives were given claim tickets and could pick them up on their way out.

Some forums have a number of people talking about how they brought their gun in with no problem because they used ankle holsters.

If you know and/or have a picture a sign indicating no weapons, please Contact Us.

Because of the amount of water in the facility, a situation that would otherwise be a firefight situation could be disasterous. Therefore, the police, fire authorities and especially those incredibly dangerout and agressive flying fish definitely should not be allowed to carry firearms. And since there are no knives allowed, the sting rays should be banned. I even saw a saw fish in there. Isn’t there a far greater danger of him cutting a hole in the plexiglas than for someone to accidentally discharge a holstered firearm? And what about the pickpocket shrimp and definitely the pengiuns. They surely would steal a holstered concealed protective firearm from a well trained and permit carrying, LAW ABIDING citizen. The swordfish will have to be banned like all knives. Heaven forbid that a penguin wants to borrow my nail clips so he can trim the fuze on his C-4 before he lights it. BACK YOU EVIL PENGUIN!!!

On the other hand, if a terrorist really wanted to drain those millions of gallons of water, he would do it from the outside.
