USPS is a Gun Free Zone

Georgia Concealed Carry

You are not permitted to carry concealed or open on ANY United States Postal Service (USPS) locations.

Many permit holders know that you are not allowed to carry a firearm (openly or concealed) in government buildings, and the United States Postal Services buildings are no exception. ┬áSadly, you’re not even allowed to have your firearm on USPS property, which means even if you pull into the parking lot and intend on placing your firearm securely in your glove compartment, you’re already violating federal law.

As stated in 39 CFR 232-1(I)

No person while on property shall carry firearms, other dangerous or deadly weapons, or explosives, either openly or concealed, except for official purposes.

This also means you may not carry knives concealed or open.
