Wackjobs armed in our communities

Normally we watch videos like this and just take them at what they are worth however as I was about to dismiss the video and move on to another one, I heard a phrase that stuck in my mind.. stuck in my mind like a thorn.  You don’t have to watch the entire video if you don’t want to, the part I’m referring to starts at 6 minutes and 13 seconds (this link will open the video on a different page http://youtu.be/h-2BHiXjy94?t=6m13s)

“Wackjobs armed in our communities”
(6 minutes and 13 seconds)

Really?  Is that what we are?  Or is this one of the latest phrases the government and civil servants are using to describe responsibly armed citizens?  “Responsibly armed citizen” is one of the phrases you’ll hear Tim Schmidt, founder of USCCA (US Conceal Carry Association) use quite a lot, and a phrase I think accurately describes us.

The government never rests in their battle to disarm America.  An unarmed nation is a fearful nation.

One of the videos you can find on the USCCA website has Tim describing what the government has been trying to get all citizens to believe.. that “owning a gun is not a good idea.  They’ll tell you that guns are the problem in our society.”  He’s right.  The government uses every opportunity to spread these lies, and sadly many of those “opportunities” are when we are most vulnerable.. such as Sandy Hook.

A gun is the only way a 100 pound woman can give herself a fighting chance against a 200 pound rapist.

A gun is the only way a husband and father can equal himself against a gang of criminals.

In theory calling 911 is a great idea.. if you need someone to clean up the mess after then crime is over.  The average police response time is 6 to 10 minutes, most crimes start and end in seconds.
