Georgia Concealed Carry

We received an email the other day (listed below) of another negative OC experience, this time it’s at Whole Foods Market in John’s Creek, GA.

“I was there on Sunday and one of the store personnel came up to me and told me while his sign was not in clear view he would make sure it would be in the future. Then one of the ladies at the service desk came over to me and told me the sort of had a company policy against weapons carry on their property. I walked the entire side walk looking for their sign but didn’t see one anywhere. Last trip to that store. Just thought I would let you know, thanks, Jimmy”

Thanks for the information and the picture Jimmy!

Update: 4/5/2013

We called today and spoke with a manager named Abdula.  He said that this is a corporate decision, not a local store decision but that they support it.  Apparently every time someone OC in their store it causes a commotion among the employees.. which is a bit of a joke.

He said “We never know what they are going to do and it’s a bit scary.”

It’s always the same story.. “it’s scary” yet every time someone OC in their store and they ask them to leave, they politely comply without incident.

We tried to explain that the people who open carry are not a threat and in fact, the moment someone legally enters with a firearm, it instantly becomes safer.

He disagrees.

One of my ladies in the shooting chapter I run was asked to leave Harry’s in Marietta last night. I have written the CEO a letter and there have also been over 20 comments and negative recommendations on their local FB page as well. I’m still waiting for a response. You can see my letter here:
